At Honest Moo, our mission is to provide the community with high-quality, local farm-to-table beef while building meaningful relationships. We specialize in raising Black Angus steers with care, delivering both exceptional flavor and wholesome nutrition. We’re committed to giving our customers complete transparency—clearly showing exactly how much beef they’re getting, the cost, and ensuring it’s available when they need it.

Michael Sain – Founder of Honest Moo Cattle Co.


Michael was born and raised in Sparta, TN, growing up on a small family farm. After earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Tech and an MBA from the University of North Alabama, he spent six years working in the defense industry.

Over time, Michael noticed a growing demand for locally raised, high-quality beef—but also how complicated it could be for both farmers and consumers.

Customers Three Main Concerns:
– How much beef will I get?
– How much will it cost?
– When can I pick it up?

The traditional answer was often, “It depends,” leaving customers unsure and frustrated. Between the feeding, weighing, and processing, it was difficult to know exactly what to expect.
